The International Securities Services Association (ISSA) has been created to provide securities services across the world since 1927 under the auspices of the International Labor Organization. In 1979, the three international banks: Citibank, Deutsche Bank and the Union Bank of Switzerland joined their strength for the first meeting of senior securities services executives in Switzerland, and build the foundation of ISSA.
The main proposes of this establishment was to provide spread information on the developments in the rapidly changing securities markets and to offer securities operations professionals a forum to exchange ideas and issues of interest.
Through the years, the International Securities Services Association has developed and increased its network in terms of new sponsors and members. Today ISSA has over 320 member institutions from over 150 countries.
Most of the members are internationally renowned Banks and financial institutions. STACS is honored to be one of a few Fintech who has the opportunity to contribute to the ISSA’s network community.
