Finance cum Operations Intern

STACS (Hashstacs Pte Ltd) is a Singapore-headquartered FinTech company focused on ESG FinTech, in partnership with the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s (MAS) Project Greenprint for ESGpedia which powers the Greenprint ESG Registry. STACS serves as the Nexus of ESG Finance with ESG data across multiple industries and digital tools for the financial sector to scale decarbonisation financing, as well as a platform to provide high-quality carbon offsets to mitigate residual emissions. Its clients and partners include global financial institutions and corporates.

Job Description

STACS is a fast-growing fintech company and we are looking for a Finance cum Operations Intern to join our rapidly expanding company and change the world together with us.

The intern will get to learn these aspects during his/her internship with us:

  • The financial management accounting preparation, reporting processes and report
  • Governance controls on risk management framework, Standards Adoptions (ISO certifications) and Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM)
  • Back office operations of a fintech company pertaining to Operations, HR and Finance
Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for operational activities and initiatives such as, but not limited to:

  • Assist operations team on grant submissions and grant claims
  • Explore the use of different monitoring tools to track and classify activities according to relevant grants
  • Management of timesheet systems needed for grant submission
  • Participate in audit exercise of the company and learn proper book-keeping
  • Monitoring and maintenance of all risk/action registers and logs as and when assigned by Supervisors under corporate governance control
  • Participate in all documentation work relating to policies, procedures and manuals for Finance/Operations/HR
  • Help out in all surveys as and when requested by regulatory
  • Participate in all SOC/Data Protection Trustmark certification audit process and work on remediation items as and when assigned by Department Head. The intern will learn about all ISO Standards, DPTM and SOC certification processes
Requirements
  • Undergrduate of a recognized polytechnic or university majoring in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or relevant analytical
  • Strong documentation skillsets, analytical, meticulous and have an eye for detailed work without missing the big
  • Strong interest to help build up the infrastructure platform of the middle to back office functions from
  • Ability to communicate and rapport well across all levels of management and with external
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel is
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and influencing skills; high levels of resilience and tenacity
  • A team player who shows respect and values the views of others
  • Ability to work independently, resourceful and a passion to deliver
