Spark Systems is Now on ESGpedia

Officially the first FinTech on the ESGpedia registry platform

SINGAPORE, 4 November 2022: Spark Systems, an ultra-low latency aggregator and eFX solution platform has announced that it is now on ESGpedia.

What Sets Spark Systems Apart
Spark Systems unique proprietary technology and robust architecture allows them to provide the most complete eFX solution in the market. They built a completely new platform from the ground up to address critical paint points on Global FX Trading Desks that were not addressed by legacy systems.

These pain points include meeting regulatory requirements (compliance), reducing rejections and smaller slippages in execution, being comprehensively connected to all major banks and other non-bank liquidity providers (market access).

ESGpedia & Green Finance
Developed by leading Singapore-headquartered environmental, social, and governance (‘ESG’) fintech Hashstacs Pte Ltd (‘STACS’), ESGpedia aggregates verified environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data and certification across various sectors, and provides digital tools for effective sustainable finance.

ESGpedia powers the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)’s Greenprint ESG Registry, which is one of the four digital utility platforms housed under Project Greenprint.

Supporting diverse needs of companies embarking on net zero, ESGpedia allows financial institutions, corporates, and regulators to access trusted ESG data via a common, standardised registry.

The First FinTech to disclose ESG data on ESGpedia
Spark Systems’ journey towards its ESG disclosure began with them successfully measuring and monitoring their carbon footprint. As a result, Global Compact Network Singapore, known as the leading voice on corporate sustainability issued Spark Systems the LowCarbonSG Participant Logo.

Being onboard ESGpedia encompasses three key benefits: Greater Transparency, Sustainable Financing, and Maintaining Competitiveness.

Greater Transparency
Provides large corporations with greater monitoring of their supply chain, including scope 3 emissions.

Sustainable Financing
Facilitates sustainable supply chain financing through greater transparency and enhancing suppliers’ access to financing.

Maintaining Competitiveness
Ensures competitiveness of ASEAN service providers in foreign markets which mandates ESG credentials.

Being the first FinTech to have its ESG company profile on ESGpedia unlocks potential use cases in the near future.

  • A leading example to other FinTechs and SMEs to disclose carbon footprint and ESG data.
  • ESG Data for financial institutional clients and vendors for their sustainability reporting.

Spark Systems’ Chief Financial Officer, who leads the sustainability practices of the Company, Chin Shi Mei shared:

“Being the first FinTech to have its company profile on ESGpedia is a great honour and we aim to be the first use case for FinTech services and financial institutions in the future”.

Spark Systems will be making this announcement at the Singapore FinTech Festival, the largest FinTech festival in the world and a knowledge platform for the global FinTech community.
